Savills (working on behalf of Persimmon Homes) submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening request to Suffolk Coastal District Council (SCDC) Planning Services early this year, as part of their preparatory work in advance of the expected planning application from Persimmon. SCDC Planning Services has now issued an EIA screening opinion stating that the proposal is ‘EIA development’ and as such any planning application by Persimmon Homes must be accompanied by an Environmental Statement. KAGE welcome that opinion by the SCDC.
